Our Mission and Philosophy

“It’s time that we realize food is a part of healthcare.”

-Dr. Mark Hyman

Our Mission

To provide a comprehensive, outpatient eating disorder recovery program founded on the Five Pillars of Resiliency to assist patients with the tools they need to attain and maintain recovery.

Our Philosophy

Eating disorders are maladaptive behaviors that people develop in order to cope with the stressful and traumatic situations in their lives. Each person suffering from an eating disorder presents with a unique story as to how their disorder developed and as a result, eating disorder recovery is equally unique.

The OmniHouse staff believe not only that recovery is possible but that when patients are empowered in their recovery, they are able to sustain long-term recovery.  Research suggests that when patients are empowered to make decisions in their care they become increasingly self-motivated. As a result of this self-motivation, patients are more likely to have a positive, long term outcome of eating disorder treatment. The OmniHouse staff believe that when patients have a recovery (based on) utilizing the Five Pillars of Resiliency, they are empowered and motivated to maintain long-term recovery.
